Close to 150 Sunoco Pittsburgh-based service stations were integrated to the Upside platform.

The retailer is now able to reach new customers and encourage repeat visits from existing ones through the service’s mobile app and partner app network. This will enable the fuel retail brand to access Upside’s database consisting of over 30 million of customers across the United States.

The platform’s personalized cash back offers are rooted in an understanding of consumer behavior. Through analysis of historical spending patterns on-site, in-market activity, and consumer behavior analysis, Upside creates a set of personalized offers that looks to benefit both customers and retailers.

"Upside's digital marketplace offers Sunoco a unique opportunity to connect with new and current customers. We believe this partnership will enable new ways for us to engage with customers digitally and offer them the convenience and value they seek," said Alison Gladwin, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sunoco.

Upside's platform features over 30,000 gas stations across 48 states and Washington, D.C., representing close to 20% of all fuel retail sites in the U.S.
