ABB launches “the world’s fastest electric car charger”
Available in Europe from the end of 2021, and in USA, Latin America and Asia Pacific in 2022, it will be suitable for fueling stations, convenience stores and retail locations.
ABB, a world leader in electric vehicle infrastructure, is launching an electric vehicle (EV) charger that could provide “the fastest charging experience on the market”, claims the company.
Named ‘Terra 360’, ABB’s new solution is a modular charger which can simultaneously charge up to four vehicles with dynamic power distribution. The new charger has a maximum output of 360 kW and is capable of fully charging an electric car in 15 minutes maximum, according to ABB.
Available in Europe from the end of 2021, and in the USA, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions in 2022, Terra 360 will be suitable for fueling stations, convenience stores and retail locations, as well as organization’s commercial premises.
According to ABB, the chargers will be customizable and there will be the option to include an integrated 27” advertisement screen to play video and pictures.
ABB offers charging and electrification solutions for electric cars, electric and hybrid buses, vans, trucks, ships and railways. The company entered the e-mobility market back in 2010, and today has sold more than 460,000 electric vehicle chargers across more than 88 markets; over 21,000 DC fast chargers and 440,000 AC chargers.
ABB high-power chargers are already being deployed around the world through the company’s partnerships with international charging operators such as IONITY and Electrify America.
