Aral and Amazon bring parcel lockers to gas stations in Germany

New collaboration expands convenience services with Amazon Locker rollout at Aral locations.

Aral has entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon to install Amazon Lockers at selected company-owned stations, enhancing parcel pickup convenience for customers across the country. Currently, around 30 lockers have been deployed at gas stations nationwide, with more installations planned in the coming months.

Amazon Locker enables customers to pick up packages securely and at their convenience. After selecting a preferred Locker location during checkout, customers receive an email confirmation with instructions for retrieving their parcels using a code, barcode, or the Amazon Shopping app.

Achim Bothe, CEO of Aral AG, emphasized the company’s evolving role: “Fuel stations are and will remain crucial hubs for mobility. This cooperation with Amazon strengthens our service portfolio. Customers can now not only refuel, charge their EVs quickly, shop at REWE To Go, or wash their cars—but also conveniently pick up their parcels at Aral.”

Bothe noted that the company already operates about 180 parcel stations from multiple providers at its sites and plans further expansion. The partnership with Amazon builds on ongoing joint initiatives in fleet management and truck charging infrastructure via Aral pulse.

Aral continues to develop its network to meet changing customer needs. This includes pilot programs for low-emission fuels, the rollout of HVO fuel at more stations, over 900 REWE To Go stores, upgrades to its car wash services, and a growing ultra-fast EV charging network now present at more than 500 locations.
