Aral pulse is widening access to its ultra-fast truck charging network in Germany for Amazon’s transport partners. The agreement includes the megawatt charging park in Königs Wusterhausen, on the A10 motorway near Berlin.

With around 35 sites, Aral pulse runs Germany’s largest public ultra-fast charging network for electric trucks, according to the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure. All locations offer drive-through bays and round-the-clock facilities such as toilets, showers, rest areas and shop or food services, all parks use MCS and CCS technology.

“The expansion of our collaboration with Amazon underlines that Aral pulse’s charging infrastructure is designed for use by large commercial fleets in long-haul transport,” said Alexander Junge, Aral Board Member for E-Mobility. “In recent years, we have expanded our truck charging network to meet growing demand for reliable high-power charging solutions.”

The collaboration began in 2022 with a pilot project at an Amazon site in Dortmund. Since then, Amazon partners have charged more than 1 million kWh at Aral pulse locations. By the end of 2026, more than 50 battery-electric trucks are expected to operate in Amazon’s German transport network.

“We are investing extensively in electrifying our transport network in Europe, and reliable charging infrastructure is a crucial building block,” said Andreas Marschner, Vice President of Worldwide Sustainable Operations at Amazon.

The agreement is part of a global collaboration between bp, Aral’s parent company, and Amazon.
