Argentina: AXION launches first fuel delivery service
The company has unveiled its “AXION on the go” system after seeking authorization from the national agency to deploy the latest addition to its portfolio of services.
AXION energy launched its “AXION on the go” service for fuel delivery as the first company to offer this type of solution in the country. The new initiative consists of a truck that can deliver fuel to clients outside of service stations.
"We are the first company to have the authorization to operate this vehicle and we are hopeful that in the future we will be able to dispatch and commercialize this service as delivery. The dispatch sites must replicate the basic safety conditions that exist in our refinery or in our Service Stations", said Ricardo Obligado, AXION's Management & Control Leader in an interview with the local news site surtidores.com.
The first phase of the project involves refueling vehicles and equipment located at its Campana refinery. Company representatives also stated that this type of service is accessible for different communities and a viable option for spaces suitable for dispatching.
The firm seeks to be able to transport its Quantium Diesel and Quantium Nafta products to homes, mainly in private neighborhoods, clubs and companies. At the same time, it is estimated to be able to guarantee the energy of 100 vehicles in a single service thanks to the truck's 3,000 liter capacity.
However, this launch already had another precedent in the country, when YPF launched its FILLER system almost three years ago. At that time, the Energy Secretariat banned the initiative and informed that such fuel delivery modality was not yet authorized. On the other hand, AXION is aiming to get the authorization from the national agency to carry out such activities outside a service station.
