Argentina: YPF appoints new president
Guillermo Nielsen took over the presidency of YPF.
Guillermo Nielsen was appointed president of YPF last week, which was proposed by the President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández, through the Secretariat of Energy of the Ministry of Productive Development.
Together with Nielsen, Dr. Arturo Giovenco, representing the National Government, was appointed as the new Class A Director.
As required by capital market regulations, official communications of the new appointments are being issued to the Comisión Nacional de Valores, the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Guillermo Nielsen is an economist, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and Boston University. He was Secretary of Finance of the Ministry of Economy of Argentina, and Ambassador in Germany. In the private sector, he served as a director in companies in Argentina and abroad.
