bp enters partnership with FedEx for U.S. fleet service
The company’s service station network will be one of the three national preferred fuel partners for both FedEx Freight and FedEx Express.
bp has agreed to partner with FedEx Corp. to make the brand and Amoco’s service station network one of the three national preferred fuel partners in the U.S. The company’s locations will cater to both the FedEx Freight and FedEx Express fleets.
As reported by Market Watch, the shipping firm is developing a digital experience through its GPS system for guiding drivers to preferred fueling sites. The media cited an email by FedEx sent to wholesalers and retailers on Monday as the primary source.
Starting this Wednesday, drivers will benefit from an 8-cent gallon discount at both bp and Amoco stations for gasoline and diesel purchase. Drivers will be able to pay with their WEX cards and the rebates are set to appear as a credit on monthly statements.
Both retail brands will fund 5 cents of the rebate while bp will be responsible for the remaining 3 cents. The company also stated that it will reconcile the amount for one month in arrears and settle with a branded fuel distributor for the previous month’s volume.
As the FedEx website states, FedEx Freight’s fleet consists of over 25,000 vehicles and completes more than 110,000 shipments daily.
