bp pulse grows U.S. EV charging network with five new sites

The charging network operator has expanded its ultrafast charging footprint across California, Oregon, Texas, Washington and its first-ever location in Alabama.

bp pulse has announced the opening of five new electric vehicle (EV) charging locations across the United States, continuing the expansion of its ultrafast charging network in key travel and urban markets.

The rollout includes bp pulse’s first charging site in Alabama, alongside new locations in California, Oregon, Texas and Washington. All of the sites feature chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW and support both CCS and NACS connectors.

The new Alabama location is situated at a TravelCenters of America (TA) site in Grand Bay and marks bp pulse’s entry into the state. The facility offers 12 charging bays, along with amenities including a travel store, restaurants, restrooms, an ATM and a pet area.

Texas receives two new sites as part of the expansion. One location in Irving, near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, features 22 charging bays and is aimed at airport users, rental car customers and ride-hailing drivers. A second site in Baytown, located at a TA Travel Center, adds another 12 ultrafast charging bays.

Additional locations have opened at a TA Travel Center in Santa Nella, California, an ARCO/ampm station in Beaverton, Oregon, and a TA Travel Center in North Bend, Washington. Together, the new sites provide convenient charging access along major travel corridors and within regional retail destinations.

Across the newly opened locations, charging capacities range from six to 22 bays, with all sites designed to accommodate a broad range of EV models through dual-standard connector support. Some locations also include features such as pull-through charging spaces, weather canopies, Wi-Fi access and ADA-accessible charging bays.
