Canada: New light-duty hydrogen station in Quebec in 2022
Developed by Air Liquide and HTEC, the station is projected to be operational in the second quarter of next year.
Air Liquide and HTEC Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation (HTEC) are partnering in the development of a new light-duty hydrogen filling station in Quebec, Canada, projected to be operational in the second quarter of 2022, announced Air Liquide.
The contract answers the need for hydrogen infrastructure in the region and expands on the companies’ hydrogen offering in Canada.
The HTEC station will have the capacity to fuel up to 50 light-duty vehicles per day at 700 bar. Air Liquide will provide the compression, high pressure storage, hydrogen cooling, and dispensing all in a single skid.
Recently, HTEC launched a new division, HTEC Québec, to support Eastern Canada’s growing interest in hydrogen. HTEC Québec will deliver hydrogen production, distribution, and dispensing solutions to partners and customers in Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and Nunavut.
Air Liquide Group has developed the hydrogen supply chain, and has installed more than 120 hydrogen stations around the world.
