Chevron names new Vice Chairman

Mark A. Nelson will maintain his position as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Policy & Development while leading the firm’s Strategy & Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, and Business Development functions.

Chevron Corporation names Mark A. Nelson, Executive Vice President of Strategy, Policy & Development, as its new Vice Chairman. The decision will come into effect on February 1 and Nelson will still keep its position as Vice president. 

In this new corporate officer role, he will continue leading the firm’s Strategy & Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, and Business Development functions, and take on additional corporate responsibilities.

Nelson previously served as Executive Vice President of Downstream & Chemicals, Vice President of Midstream, Strategy & Policy, and Vice President of Corporate Strategic Planning.
