HBIS Group opened the first permanent hydrogen station operated by a steel manufacturer in China. Located in HBIS Handan factory, Hebei region, the hydrogen station will serve heavy load trucks – a milestone in the history of hydrogen applications in China.

HBIS Handan hydrogen station will have the capacity to refuel 500kg/day and is equipped with 35Mpa and 70Mpa pressure.

HBIS will source data from the hydrogen station to support further design and optimisation of hydrogen infrastructure, as the company is exploring new business models to implement a network of hydrogen generation, refuelling, clients and hydrogen material in the Beijing-Tinajin-Hebei region.

China’s first 49-tonne hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck also started running at the same time the station entered in operation, paving the way for a green transition in Chinese industrial logistic system.
