Circle K Ireland rolls out branded EV chargers across network
The retailer is investing €7m and plans to install the equipment at over 30 stores across the country by 2025.
Circle K Ireland has announced the roll out of branded EV chargers across its retail network. The retailer will invest €7m to install the equipment throughout its nationwide footprint over the next two years.
This plan builds upon the company’s existing e-mobility equipment established at several locations as a result of its partnerships with ESB, IONITY and Tesla. The firm currently operates charging points at 42 service stations.
Circle K has already opened two branded EV charge points in County Carlow and Cork, which offer charging speeds of up to 300kW, and plans to establish new chargers with 150kW potency.
"Today's announcement builds on our existing EV offering and confirms our ambition to support Irish motorists in their transition to electric vehicles, helping support the Government's EV targets. We are excited to introduce our new high-speed, reliable, strategically placed charging points and look forward to welcoming customers to our locations," said Gordon Lawlor, Managing Director of Circle K Ireland, according to a report by local media outlet RTE.
By 2025, Circle K Ireland aims to have EV chargers installed at 72 of its over 400 locations across the country.
