Colombia: Óscar Bravo new president of Terpel

Bravo will lead the company’s efforts to continue expanding in Colombia and across Latin America.

Colombian oil company Terpel has appointed Óscar Bravo as the new President of the organization, assuming the role on January 1.

The former financial vice-president, whose been at the company for 15 years, will lead the company’s business in Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Ecuador.

Bravo has played a key role in various company milestones such as the international expansion into Ecuador and Panama; the US$700 million bond issue on the Colombian Stock Exchange; and the financing of the acquisition of Exxon Mobil Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, among others.

"I take on this new challenge with the honour and responsibility that comes with leading one of the most important companies in Colombia. Our raison d'être, for more than 50 years, has been to serve Colombians and mobilise the country, even in the most difficult times, and we will continue to do so thanks to the work and dedication of our team," said Bravo.

Terpel has a network of over 2,000 gas stations in Colombia.
