Completion of sale of Puma Energy’s assets in Angola

Sonangol will no longer have shares in Puma Energy while keeping the company’s business in Angola.

Trafigura’s has announced the completion of the acquisition of Sonangol’s shareholding in Puma Energy for $600 million and the sale of Puma Energy’s business in Angola to Sonangol following receipt of all relevant regulatory approvals.

As a result of these transactions, Trafigura’s shareholding in Puma Energy has increased to 93.3%.  Sonangol no longer holds shares in Puma Energy nor has representation on the Company’s Board.

Puma Energy’s Pumangol business in Angola comprised a retail network of 79 service stations, a commercial businesses serving B2B customers, with fuels, lubricants and other services, services at four airport terminals and three storages two of which are marine terminals, including the state of the art Terminal de Combustíveis da Pumangol em Luanda (TCPL) terminal in Luanda Bay.
