Copec opens charging station for public transport in Chile

The company has established a new charging station for 67 public buses equipped with 17 high potency chargers.

Copec has opened a new charging station for public transport located in Santiago de Chile. The site will power a fleet of 67 public buses as it is equipped with 17 150 kW. Chargers.

The installation is also equipped with an intelligent monitoring system that will facilitate the operation of each device. This is the first of a series of 13 new locations to be implemented during the first semester of 2023.

The firm invested USD 30 million to establish this network of charging stations throughout the country for public transport. Arturo Natho, General Manager at Copec, confirmed a plan to incorporate new road charging points to connect municipalities, with new locations to be opened in La Serena, Arauco and Puerto Montt districts.
