DESPAR Italia opens 10 new and refurbished stores to start 2025
Wholesalers have been opening new and renovated stores to continue the growth of the brand nationwide.
Across Italy, DESPAR Italia wholesalers have been opening new and renovated stores, continuing the growth of the SPAR brand nationwide.
In the North, partner DESPAR Nord opened two new supermarkets in Trieste and Rovolon, while in the North-West of the country, regional wholesaler Gruppo 3A oversaw a variety of new store openings, a brand new DESPAR Express store in Murisengo, another in Imperia, and a DESPAR Supermarket in Turin.
In the Central-South region of the country, three new DESPAR-branded stores joined the retail network, two new DESPAR Express stores, in Puglia and Rome, and one DESPAR Supermarket in Cutro.
In Sicily, the renovated EUROSPAR Supermarket in Marina di Ragusa once again welcomed customers after a full renovation. In addition, a DESPAR Express store in Sardinia, also underwent a major restyling, with an emphasis on offering high-quality fresh and local products in supporting the local economy.
SPAR Italy, known locally as DESPAR Italia, was first granted the SPAR Brand’s license in 1959. The first store opened in 1960. With it, the SPAR brand became the first partnership of retailers and wholesalers to operate in the country.
