DISA debuts first branded fuel station in Uruguay
The station in Montevideo also unveils DISA Shop, the company's new c-store concept. DISA plans to brand its 88 stations in the country by June 2022.
DISA, a leading independent fuel retailer in Spain and Portugal, has inaugurated the first DISA-branded service station in Uruguay. Located in Montevideo, the Punta Carretas station has also been chosen for the launch of DISA Shop, the operator's new convenience store concept, according to a press release.
DISA began operating in the Uruguayan market following the acquisition of Petrobras' energy business in the country, becoming the second largest national fuel distributor with a 24% market share and a network of 88 service stations.
DISA expects to complete the rebranding of its entire fuel station network in Uruguay by the end of 2022.
The Punta Carretas station also debuts DISA Shop, the company's new convenience store concept. DISA Shop will be further rolled out to more than 15 sites by the end of the year.
After starting its international expansion in 2018, Disa currently operates more than 930 service stations distributed between Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Uruguay. The company is the leading independent and fourth-largest fuel retailer in Spain and Portugal.
