DKV Mobility, Energie Steiermark expand EV charging access in Austria
Partnership adds over 1,200 charge points, strengthening coverage with a focus on fast charging in Styria.
DKV Mobility has expanded its electric vehicle charging network in Austria, giving customers immediate access to around 1,250 additional charge points operated by regional energy provider Energie Steiermark. The move significantly increases charging coverage across the country, particularly in the province of Styria.
More than half of the newly added charging points are fast chargers, offering charging capacities of up to 150 kW. The expanded network can be accessed using the DKV Card +Charge or through the DKV Mobility app, integrating the new infrastructure into existing workflows for business and fleet customers.
“Many of our customers have been asking for access to the Energie Steiermark network. Making this access available is an important step for us,” said Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services. He added that “the additional charge points significantly improve day-to-day usability and provide greater flexibility within Austria’s charging network.”
Access to the new charging points is enabled through the charging management platform operated by GreenFlux, a subsidiary of DKV Mobility. The system allows seamless connectivity between charging infrastructure and mobility service providers, ensuring a consistent user experience across different networks.
