DKV Mobility and Shell have expanded their long-standing European partnership to include the brand’s entire station network in Germany.

The agreement adds approximately 440 Shell locations to DKV Mobility’s network, increasing the number of stations accessible to its customers in Germany to around 1,990. Across Europe, DKV customers currently have access to more than 3,100 Shell sites.

The companies said the expansion is the first step in a broader European rollout, with preparations already underway to achieve full network coverage in additional countries.

“The best refueling stop is the one you don't have to think about twice,” said Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services. He added that the company’s customers now have access to virtually every major fuel station network in Germany while benefiting from increasing levels of digitalization.

Alongside the network expansion, both parties are strengthening their technological collaboration. The partnership will support wider adoption of DKV Mobility’s chip card technology within the Shell network and introduce digital fueling solutions that allow drivers to authorize transactions directly from their vehicles through an app, removing the need to visit the cashier.

“Shell and DKV Mobility have already been connected as partners in the European fuel station market for many years,” said Jérôme Reinecke, Head of Roaming and Pricing Europe at Shell. He noted that the agreement gives DKV Mobility customers access to Shell’s full network in Germany and its range of fuel products and services.

The move further strengthens DKV Mobility’s position as one of Europe’s largest mobility service platforms, while expanding fuel access and digital payment options for fleet operators across the region.
