Domino's Pizza has expanded its retail footprint in Spain with the launch of "Horno 24/7," a vending-style oven format installed at two fuel stations in the Madrid region, marking the chain's first move into automated, unattended sales points in the country.

The pizza chain, operated in Spain by Alsea, has placed the units at a Moeve site in the Carabanchel district and at a Ballenoil station along the M-515 motorway near Pozuelo. Four core menu items (Four Cheese, Meat Feast, Ham and Cheese, and Barbecue) are baked fresh on-site at the moment of purchase, reaching customers in under three minutes at temperatures above 80°C.

The pizzas are prepared in advance at a nearby commissary kitchen following standard chain recipes before being finished in the forecourt ovens. The service also links to Uber Eats, extending delivery availability into overnight and early-morning hours when traditional stores are closed.

Jesús Navarro, general manager of Domino's Pizza in Spain, said the format brings the Domino's experience to places and moments the brand previously couldn't reach.

The rollout reflects a broader trend among organized food-service brands to diversify beyond standalone restaurants, using forecourt and convenience locations to widen access and capture consumption occasions outside conventional operating hours. Domino's said further sites are expected to follow as it evaluates the format's performance.
