EG America strengthens New England footprint with nine new stores
Retailer expands Cumberland Farms brand with modern, high-traffic locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
EG America has signed an agreement with Neon Marketplace to lease nine convenience store sites across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The move furthers its growth strategy in New England and reinforces the Cumberland Farms brand. Newly acquired sites feature modern architecture, ample space, drive-thrus, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
Strategically positioned near major highways and busy commercial corridors, the locations are designed to meet the demands of today’s on-the-go consumer while integrating with EG America’s existing store network.
“Expanding EG America’s network and strengthening the Cumberland Farms brand aligns with our long-term vision for strategic growth and market leadership in the region. We’re excited to welcome the current store teams to EG America and continue delivering the high-value experience our guests expect,” said Russ Colaco, CEO of EG Group.
Under the agreement, EG America will lease six stores in Rhode Island and three in Massachusetts, including sites in Seekonk, Freetown, and Quincy.
All nine locations will be rebranded as Cumberland Farms in the coming weeks and will be integrated into EG America’s operational network, with support from its Westborough, MA-based distribution and culinary centers.
