Esmax opens first two Aramco-branded stations in Chile
The inaugurations come recently after the Saudi firm acquired the retailer to enter the Latin American fuel retail market.
Chilean fuel retailer Esmax has opened its first two Aramco-branded service stations in the country after being acquired by the Saudi company back in March.
Thus, the firm is kickstarting its project to transform its network of almost 300 outlets across the nation in the next two years. Both sites also feature the firm’s convenience store brand, aStop, which will also be part of the major rollout.
In 24 months, Esmax aims to complete the overhaul, which also encompasses over 170 c-stores that will be integrated throughout the network.
Both sites have been opened in Santiago de Chile, one in La Reina and the other in Vitacura. Esmax has a national presence that includes retail fuel stations, airport operations, fuel distribution terminals and a lubricant blending plant.
The company has been Petrobras’ licensee in Chile since 2017, currently operating a network of over 280 service stations across the country. In addition, the company sells lubricants at more than 70 locations and has established 130 convenience stores throughout its footprint.
