Fastned opens 50th fast-charging station in Germany
New site in Werl strengthens nationwide EV infrastructure as it looks to open seven new charging sites before the end of the year.
Fastned has reached a major milestone in Germany with the opening of its 50th fast-charging station in Werl-Büderich, North Rhine-Westphalia. Located near the A44 and A445 between Dortmund and Soest, the station provides 12 charging points, each delivering up to 400 kW under the operator’s signature yellow canopy.
The new site is part of the federal “Deutschlandnetz” initiative, supporting the expansion of fast-charging infrastructure across the country. “The opening of our 50th station is a significant milestone for Fastned in Germany,” said Linda Boll, Country Director of Fastned Germany. “With every new station, we give EV drivers more freedom and confidence for everyday mobility.”
With this addition, the company now operates more than 300 charging points nationwide and continues to enhance driver comfort with features like weather-protected canopies and plans for future amenities such as shops and lounges.
Fastned plans to open seven new stations in Germany this December alone, continuing its push toward a network of 1,000 stations across Europe.
