forecourttech and Q1 launch new award to enhance service station tech
Start-ups will be able to compete in the “New Technology Disruptors Award” for a chance to win financial support to develop their concepts.
forecourttech and Q1 have announced the launch of a new award aimed at start-ups that are developing new and disrupting concepts for the service station market. The “New Technology Disruptors Award” lets participants submit projects and plans focused on digital technologies for a chance to win financial support to make their ideas a reality.
Applicants will only need to have proof of concept seeking financial and/or business support to bring it to market. Initiatives considered will need to focus on optimising operations around fuel and convenience retailing, enhancing customer experience and having a significant impact on business processes.
“This is an exciting development for forecourttech as we seek to support new technology developers entering this industry. I am looking forward to our collaboration with Q1 and industry experts to highlight emerging technologies now and in the future,” said Stephen Bozdan, Managing Director at SAB Events.
The judging panel will select a total of five finalists who will be awarded with a free ticket to the SmartCityHouse accelerator program, six months of individual support worth €50,000 and a free delegate place at forecourttech ’23. The top applications will be announced on social media and invited to the next edition of the event, scheduled for October, to take part in the conference programme with a 3-minute elevator pitch for the assembled delegates, which will be in charge of selecting the winning applicant.
Applications are now open through forecourttech’s official website until September 9th. Successful applicants will be notified by 16th September.
