France: Total debut its GNV filling network in Paris
The first two sites were launched in the Boulevard Périphérique and in the city’s 15th arrondissement. Total plans to add two other stations in the coming months.
France’s energy company Total is kicking off its natural gas vehicle (GNV) refuelling network in Paris with the launching of its first two locations along the Boulevard Périphérique and in the city’s 15th arrondissement, reports Gaz-Mobilité.fr.
Both stations will offer compressed natural gas (CNG) and its renewable version bio-CNG, alongside traditional fuels. They will service light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. Total and AS24 Eurotrafic cards are accepted, as well as credit card payments for individuals.
The Boulevard Périphérique station located at Porte d'Aubervilliers, in the 19th arrondissement, is the first CNG filling point to be deployed on the Paris ring road, says Gaz-Mobilité.
The station in the 15th arrondissement, in the south-west of Paris, is located at a Relais Pont Aval, on the Quai d'Issy les Moulineaux.
In addition to these first two sites, Total plans to add two other GNV fillings stations in Paris in the coming months. Aubervilliers 2 station, to open in the second quarter of 2021, will be located just in front of Total's first CNG station on the Paris ring road. The fourth station is expected to open in 2022 in Relay Porte de St Ouen, in the north of Paris.
