France: XPO Logistics to transport LNG to ENGIE filling stations
XPO will deliver LNG to all ENGIE Solutions gas filling stations in the Greater South-East region, starting in October this year.
ENGIE Solutions, through its sustainable mobility service GNVERT, has selected world’s leading provider of transport and logistics solutions XOP Logistics as a partner for the delivery of liquified natural gas (LNG) to ENGIE gas filling stations in France.
As part of this multi-year contract, XPO Logistics will transport the LNG from a terminal in the port of Fos-sur-Mer, near Marseille, to all ENGIE Solutions stations in the Greater South-East region. XPO plans to make the first deliveries in October.
To transport the gas in a liquefied state, XPO Logistics has invested in cryogenic tanks capable of maintaining a temperature of -161 Cº, as well in as a fleet of LNG tractors.
