France’s green hydrogen company Atawey has launched the first hydrogen filling station in New Caledonia. The station will serve as a pilot model for green mobility in the Pacific region, according to a company’s press release.
Designed to service professional fleets, the station has the capacity to produce 2kg of hydrogen per day, and can deliver up to 6kg of hydrogen per day at 350 bar.
The Atawey hydrogen station produces green hydrogen on site through water electrolysis technology embedded.
New Caledonia has set the goal to double the share of renewables in the island’s energy mix, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector by 15%.
Atawey hydrogen charging stations are entirely designed and manufactured in France.
