Gasum CEO Johanna Lamminen steps down
Kai Laitinen, Gasum's current CFO, is acting as interim CEO as of September 1, 2021. The recruitment process for a new CEO will begin immediately.
Gasum, the Nordic gas sector expert and gas filling station network operator, announced Johanna Lamminen is stepping down as the CEO of Gasum, a position she held since 2014. The recruitment process for a new CEO will begin immediately, according to the company.
The Board of Directors appointed Kai Laitinen, Gasum's current CFO, as interim CEO effective September 1, 2021.
“The natural gas market in Finland opened for competition in 2020, and Gasum has played a significant role in preparing the market opening. Under Johanna's leadership, the company has made great achievements," says Elina Engman, Chairman of the Board.
“We have built a Nordic energy company that provides clean energy to industry, shipping, and transport, not to forget the biogas market and the circular economy. The company has a clear goal. The work is done, and now it is the right time for me to head towards new challenges,” says Johanna Lamminen.
In recent years, Gasum has made the transition from a traditional natural gas transmission and distribution company to a Nordic gas and energy company. Gasum’s expanding Nordic filling network currently consists of around 100 gas filling stations – including LNG stations for heavy-duty vehicles – in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
