Germany: Q1 Energie AG starts new Sustainable Energies division
The new division Sustainable Energies is supposed to set a signal, focus and develop expertise around new fuels and future mobility.
Q1’s new business unit Sustainable Energies includes the optimization of GHG quotas, the business with automotive gas (CNG, LNG, LPG, hydrogen), the trade and blending of synthetic fuels as well as the energy services.
Energy services include natural gas and energy trading, automotive electricity, photovoltaic systems and energy cost optimization.
Q1 already increased its alternative fuels activities in the past few months with the addition of its first LNG stations and a network of EV chargers.
The company also wants to expand its Refuel Climate-Neutra programe nationwide. The project allows customers of Q1 to compensate their individual CO2 emissions by paying 1 cent per liter of fuel.
“In the long term, we are striving for a climate-neutral range of services and are working on the consequent digitalization of our company and our services. In this way, we are achieving a reduction of our operational costs and can focus on more value-adding activities,” said Q1 CEO Frederick Beckmann.
Q1 is a medium sized, independent energy company that supplies fuels at over 200 service stations. In Germany.
