Gridserve starts 2023 with two new Electric Super Hubs in the UK
The company has expanded its footprint as it prepares to open its landmark London Gatwick Electric Forecourt later this year.
Gridserve has started the new year with the opening of two new “Electric Super Hubs”. The company inaugurated one of these facilities in Solstice Park, close to Stonehenge, and another one in the Pease Pottage Moto services on the M23 highway.
The hub located near one of Britain’s greatest historical and cultural icons offers eight 350kW-capable High Power chargers, bringing 21st century technology to one of the oldest sites in the world. The equipment is able to add 100 miles of range in as little as five minutes to electric vehicles that are compatible with high charging capacity.
On the other hand, the other facility opened features six 350kW-capable High Power chargers, equipped to add 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes to compatible vehicles. In addition, Gridserve has future-proofed the site so that it can double the number of chargers in the summer.
Both sites include solutions powered exclusively by net zero carbon energy as well as contactless payment facilities and multiple connector types, with both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors.
Both locations build on Gridserve’s success during 2022 and sets it off for an even bigger 2023, with many more Electric Super Hubs planned to join its Electric Highway. The company is also planning to launch its landmark London Gatwick Electric Forecourt, the first to be located at an international airport.
