GRIDSERVE’s Gatwick Electric Forecourt opens its doors
30 brand new EV charging bays are available alongside a Little Fresh store powered by Amazon Just Walk Out technology, and a Costa Coffee location.
GRIDSERVE has officially launched its latest and most important Electric Forecourt yet, located at the South Terminal of London Gatwick Airport.
London Gatwick is the first European international airport to benefit from a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging station, and one that is powered exclusively by net zero carbon energy.
Customers will find 30 EV charging bays, 22 of them being 350kW-capable High Power chargers. The equipment is available 24/7 and allows the latest electric models to acquire 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes.
There are also four 22kW-capable Low Power AC chargers and four Tesla Superchargers on site, ensuring all types of EV can charge easily.
The facility’s first floor has been split into three distinct zones. Firstly, there’s a Little Fresh convenience store that features Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, a Costa Coffee store, and a new electric vehicle experience area.
In the latter area customers can talk with experts and impartial EV gurus to learn more about electric vehicles.
