GS25 is expanding its foreign exchange kiosk services to attract and better serve international customers.

By introducing the 'Dozen Exchange Kiosk,' which can be installed both inside and outside its stores, GS Retail’s convenience store brand aims to strengthen its financial services for foreign visitors. The solution offers 24-hour currency exchange services, supporting 15 different foreign currencies, including the US Dollar, Japanese Yen, Euro, and Chinese Yuan.

As part of its enhanced financial services strategy, the company witnessed remarkable growth in 2024, with foreign exchange service users increasing 18-fold compared to the previous year. Additionally, the utilization rate of its tax refund service saw an unprecedented 935% surge.

These figures underscore the growing demand for convenient financial solutions among international tourists visiting Korea.

Beyond currency exchange, the kiosks also facilitate the issuance and top-up of prepaid cards. This service allows tourists to purchase a card at the kiosk and load it with their preferred foreign currency, which is automatically converted into Korean Won upon charging.

GS25 continues to diversify its financial service offerings for foreign customers. The company currently operates multiple financial solutions, including foreign exchange services, instant tax refund, foreign payment, and promotions on foreign payment methods.
