SPAR Hungary has announced the modernisation of various of its stores as well as a new opening through an investment of nearly  €28,3 million. The retailer has modernised two INTERSPAR Hypermarkets, two SPAR Supermarkets and has opened a new supermarket in Budapest.

The brand’s ongoing modernisation programme in the country focuses on offering an extensive product range in a modern shopping environment, providing high-quality customer service, and reducing environmental impact.

The installations modernised included the INTERSPAR in Pécs on Siklósi út, the INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Nyíregyháza, the SPAR Supermarket in Gyöngyös and the SPAR Supermarket in Ócsa. Each and every one of them benefited from new offerings for customers, new INTERSPAR-to-Go units, new equipment, redesigned indoors and outdoors and new food sections. Sustainable technologies, including LED lighting and eco-friendly cooling solutions, were also installed to ensure reduced energy consumption for several of these locations.

In addition, a new SPAR store opened in Budapest in the Lurdy-ház shopping centre. The store features modern refrigerators, fresh produce shelves, and bakery stands which make shopping an easy and convenient experience. A SPAR-to-Go unit is located next to the entrance and LED lighting and energy-efficient cooling technologies have been introduced.
