Iberdrola | bp pulse enhances EV charging network across Iberia
Charging operator will strengthen management of 2,500 fast and ultra-fast chargers across Spain and Portugal as it expands its infrastructure footprint.
Iberdrola | bp pulse is advancing the next phase of its electric vehicle (EV) charging network across Spain and Portugal, introducing new tools to manage and optimize 2,500 fast and ultra-fast chargers throughout the Iberian Peninsula.
The charge point operator, a joint venture between Iberdrola and bp, aims to improve visibility into charger availability, uptime, equipment performance and charging patterns as it continues to expand one of the region’s largest public EV charging networks.
The technology supporting the project will be provided by Driivz, whose platform offers analytics, automation and energy management capabilities for large-scale charging networks.
“This migration is a strategic decision to build our operation on foundations that allow us to grow, innovate and deliver the reliability the Iberian market deserves,” said Federico Artes, Technology and Operations Director of Iberdrola | bp pulse for the Iberian Peninsula.
The company said the enhanced platform will help strengthen data-driven network management and create the technological foundation for future developments, including smart charging and vehicle-to-grid capabilities. Designed to support growing demand from private drivers, fleet operators and commercial customers; the initiative aims to improve operational efficiency across a network that spans multiple locations and technology providers.
Iberdrola | bp pulse currently operates across Spain and Portugal as part of its strategy to accelerate the deployment of high-power charging infrastructure and support the transition to e-mobility. The company's focus includes expanding charger reliability, improving the customer experience and increasing utilization of charging assets.
