IMC Logistics expands hydrogen truck operations with Hyroad support
The logistics provider is now fueling and servicing its hydrogen fuel cell truck fleet at its Fontana facility through a partnership with Hyroad Energy, supporting the continued expansion of zero-emission drayage operations in Southern California.
IMC Logistics has expanded support for its hydrogen-powered transportation operations through a new partnership with Hyroad Energy at its Fontana, California, facility.
Under the agreement, IMC's Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell trucks will receive hydrogen fuel and ongoing maintenance services directly from the company's Fontana yard, providing a centralized solution designed to maximize vehicle uptime and support day-to-day fleet operations.
Hyroad Energy will provide both fuel supply and vehicle maintenance services from space leased within IMC's facility. The arrangement builds on Hyroad's growing hydrogen infrastructure footprint in Southern California, following the deployment of a hydrogen refueling station in Santa Fe Springs aimed at supporting commercial vehicle operators.
According to Hyroad, the Fontana project demonstrates the growing viability of hydrogen-powered freight operations beyond pilot programs and into everyday fleet use.
By integrating fueling and maintenance services into its Fontana yard, IMC aims to strengthen the operational performance of its hydrogen fleet while expanding zero-emission transportation options for customers throughout Southern California.
