Korea: GS Caltex opens all-in-one filling station in Seoul
Built in cooperation with Hyundai Motor, it's the first hydrogen station of its kind to be built on a private site in Seoul.
South Korean oil refiner GS Caltex starts this week the operation of its first all-in-one filling station supplying gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), electricity and hydrogen. The one stop sits on a 3,300-square-meter area at Gangdong District, eastern Seoul, reports The Korea Herald.
Built in cooperation with Hyundai Motor, which has added a hydrogen charging point at the site, GS Caltex is responsible for operation and management.
“The all-in-one pump station is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and can charge 70 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles,” a GS Caltex official said.
The hybrid charging station is also equipped with two car washes machines and one DIY facility for drivers to clean the interior of their cars.
GS Caltex is currently installing or running 41 EV charging points of 100-kilowatt at 37 gas and LPG filling stations. The company plans to add 40 EV points more in the future.
