MEA Energy automates fuel network in Nigeria
The retailer strengthens service reliability and transparency across its footprint.
MEA Energy is accelerating the modernisation of its nationwide retail network with the rollout of an automated system designed to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customer experience across its retail stations. The initiative marks a significant step for the Nigeria‑based downstream operator as it scales its footprint in both fuel and LPG retailing.
The company has adopted the SmartPump automation system, developed by Petrosoft, as part of its broader strategy to improve real‑time oversight of station operations. With Nigeria’s fuel market continuing to grow and competition intensifying, the company expects the upgrade to help ensure pumps remain precise, inventory is tightly monitored and service standards remain consistent across the country.
Chief Commercial Officer Chris Vassilopoulos noted that the company’s long‑term mission is to bring international standards of excellence to Nigeria’s downstream sector through transparent and efficient operations.
MEA Energy, backed by a UAE‑based commodities and trade finance group, operates as a fully integrated downstream company focused on raising service quality and reliability for fuel customers across Nigeria.
