MOL Romania has opened three new fuel stations in Lugoj, Medgidia and Sighetu Marmației, increasing its nationwide retail network to 239 locations as the company continues to expand its presence across the country.

The openings are part of MOL Group's growth strategy in Romania, where the company has invested nearly €390 million over its 31 years of operation. Two additional stations are currently under construction, while MOL has also secured the concession to develop the first two service areas on Romania's A7 Moldova motorway.

The new stations incorporate MOL's latest Fresh Corner 2.0 foodservice concept, which offers an expanded range of coffee, prepared food and convenience products. All three locations are equipped with high-flow fuel pumps designed to serve commercial vehicle operators.

“MOL has confidence in Romania and continues to create long-term value, even in a difficult economic and geopolitical environment,” said Gábor Mozga, CEO of MOL Romania. He added that the stations represent a new generation of locations combining mobility services, convenience retail and food offerings.

Alongside the network expansion, MOL is growing its recently launched Key Partner program, which allows independent operators to exclusively sell MOL Master fuels. Five Key Partner locations are already operating in Romania, extending the company's reach into markets where it does not yet have company-owned stations.

According to MOL, the partnership model will continue expanding as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence beyond its traditional retail network through collaborations focused on fuel quality, exclusivity and local development.
