OKQ8 boosts e-mobility with three new fast chargers in Sweden
The retailer now operates six fast charging locations in the country and aims to operate a network consisting of 800 charging points by 2026.
OKQ8 has revealed three new super fast chargers in Sweden at its Glumslöv service station, expanding its total number of fast chargers up to six.
This deployment is part of the company’s investment in Swedish charging infrastructure to increase accessibility for electric car drivers throughout the country. Each charger has a 150 kW capacity and two charging points that can only be used by electric vehicles.
Payment at each of these chargers is possible with both a regular bank card, a charging card from OKQ8 and with the OKQ8 Electric Car Charging app. Regardless of the form of payment, there will be no extra cost for the customer.
“OKQ8 Glumslöv is a transit station with a strategic location on one of Sweden's busiest motorways and central to our priority work to rapidly increase the availability of superfast chargers. This is to contribute to reduced carbon emissions from transport, which is an important part of the transition towards a sustainable future,” said Agnes Palinski, Communications Manager at OKQ8.
OKQ8 currently operates a network of 130 charging points in Sweden and is currently working to establish the country’s largest charging network with at least 800 charging points at 300 stations by 2026.
