Onexpo 2026: The agenda driving Mexico’s fuel retail sector
Three days of regulation, innovation, and leadership shaping the future of service stations in Mexico.
From May 12 to 15, Onexpo Convention & Expo (OCE) 2026 will bring together business leaders, authorities, and specialists from Mexico’s energy sector at Mérida’s Centro de Convenciones Siglo XXI. The event stands as the country’s leading gathering point to analyze the regulatory landscape, share technical knowledge, and explore new business opportunities amid the ongoing transformation of service stations in Mexico.
An agenda designed to support decision-makers
Activities begin on Tuesday, May 12, with pre-event networking experiences, including sports tournaments, exhibitor registration, and a hands-on culinary master class. The day concludes with a welcome cocktail, creating the ideal environment to strengthen relationships before the formal academic program begins.
The agenda continues on Wednesday, May 13, with a strategic look at family business governance led by Imanol Belausteguigoitia. Sessions will cover key topics such as NOM‑023, volumetric controls, accounting for service stations, and a regulatory panel featuring CNE, SENER, ASEA, and SAT. The day also includes an international perspective withthe NACS panel led by Henry Armour on innovation and new business models, leadership insights from Martha Debayle focused on personal growth in business, and the Official Opening of OCE2026.
On Thursday, the focus shifts to the economic, technological, and operational environment. Ildefonso Guajardo opens the day, followed by conferences on artificial intelligence, service station transformation, Phase II vapor recovery, national content requirements, RENAGAS, and volumetric traceability. A Latin America panel led by Onexpo National President Enrique Félix Robelo brings regional insight with voices from Costa Rica, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina.
The academic program concludes on Friday with digital innovation led by Juan Lombana, alongside technical sessions on fuel quality, labor regulation, anti-money laundering compliance, and geopolitics—aligning strategy, compliance, and operations.
This agenda is further strengthened by the fifth edition of FOTOVISIONEESS5, the official photography contest of the Onexpo 2026 Convention & Expo. Under the theme “Service stations also tell stories,” professional and amateur photographers residing in Mexico are invited to capture the resilience of service stations. Participants may submit up to two photographs, accompanied by a brief explanation, with a submission deadline of April 24, 2026. The contest will award passes and discounts to Onexpo Nacional’s year‑end event to the top three winners, along with honorary mentions, and the winning images will be published in Onexpo Magazine and across Onexpo Nacional’s digital platforms.
Fuel Retail Leadership with Social Commitment
As part of the event, the seventh edition of the Liderazgo Gasolinero Awards will also take place, an initiative that recognizes socially responsible practices that are transforming organizations and their environments. In the 2026 category, Socially Responsible Practices within Organizations, initiatives implemented in recent years that generate a positive impact on the environment, local communities, employees, and the broader social context will be recognized. The awards aim to highlight initiatives with tangible results and inspire other service stations to adopt similar practices.
OCE2026 is more than a convention for Mexico’s fuel retail decision-makers: it is where the sector stays informed, builds connections, and shapes its future. Participating means taking part in the decisions that will define the industry.
