OrangeGas opens first hydrogen filling station in Amsterdam
With the new location at the Port of Amsterdam, the Netherlands has six public hydrogen stations, says OrangeGas.
Dutch company OrangeGas rolled out this week the first hydrogen filling station in Amsterdam, located at the city’s port. With the new site, the Netherlands has six public hydrogen stations, according to Orange Gas.
More hydrogen stations will follow soon in the Port of Amsterdam, says the port authority.
Opened 24/7, the new filling station will only serve clean fuels. In addition to hydrogen, the site offers bio-CNG, electricity and liquid CO2, and HVO100 and LBG will also be added later.
With the addition of hydrogen, supplied by Denmark’s Nel Hydrogen, this is the first location in the Netherlands where a wide pallet of clean fuels only is offered at one location, says OrangeGas.
A market leader in the Netherlands with over 85 Bio-CNG filling stations, OrangeGas has more hydrogen stations planned in Leeuwarden, Schiphol, Borne, Heerenveen, Delfzijl, Breda and various places in Drenthe.
Founded in 2008, the Dutch company ambitions to become one of the largest suppliers in the field of hydrogen in Europe.
