Orlen Deutschland has struck a strategic partnership with the Bartels‑Langness Group (Bela), operator of famila and Markant supermarkets, to expand fast‑charging under the Orlen CHARGE brand. The plan aims to install around 160 charging points at up to 26 retail sites across northern Germany, broadening access to everyday charging in urban and suburban areas.

The rollout will feature high‑power chargers with capacities of up to 400 kW and continuous availability, with commissioning slated through the end of 2026. Orlen says the initiative supports Germany’s shift to sustainable mobility by embedding fast charging into high‑traffic retail destinations where drivers already shop.

“By strategically expanding our fast-charging network at high-traffic retail locations, we are strengthening our position as a provider of everyday-accessible charging infrastructure and creating added value for both retailers and customers. This way, we meaningfully integrate e-mobility into existing consumer routines and support the mobility transition,” says Dennis Kulbach, Chief Operating Officer of Orlen Deutschland GmbH.

The agreement strengthens Orlen Deutschland’s retail‑anchored charging footprint while complementing its company‑owned sites. Looking ahead, the company plans to operate about 220 locations with a total of 1,150 fast‑charging points by the end of 2030, combining partnerships and in‑house development to reach scale.
