Over 5,200 independent U.S stores to rollout AI technology
The implementation will equip c‑stores with real‑time operational insights throughout 2026.
Thousands of independent convenience stores across the U.S. are set to adopt new AI‑powered operational technology throughout 2026 through a system‑wide rollout led by the Strategic Alliance for Affiliated Store Owners of America (SAASOA). Beginning in February 2026, more than 5,200 member locations will gain access to automated alerts, real‑time reports and performance insights.
Store owners say the initiative addresses a long‑standing gap in day‑to‑day visibility. “Independent c‑store owners need results that are easy to implement and fast to realize,” said Jigar Patel (“JP”), Vice President of SAASOA USA and CEO of FASTIME. “By capturing and analyzing the everyday conversations at the counter, InStore.ai gives our retail members clear transparency into what’s working and what isn’t, so they can coach their teams, tighten operations, and consistently execute loyalty and promotional programs.”
The platform, provided by InStore.ai, uses secure audio capture and AI‑driven dashboards to transform cashier–customer interactions into measurable signals. Operators can monitor greetings, offer mentions, loyalty prompts and service gaps, allowing them to coach frontline teams more effectively and close execution issues in days rather than months.
The rollout will occur in phases, with training, best‑practice guides and tailored insights provided to owners, district leaders and store managers.
