PowerGo adds over 300 new EV charging points in Denmark
Rollout in the Jutland region strengthens access to public charging ahead of peak summer travel season.
PowerGo has announced the installation of more than 300 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the Jutland region, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility in Denmark.
The expansion, completed just ahead of the summer holiday season, brings improved charging access to drivers in the municipalities of Ikast-Brande, Haderslev, Varde, and Vejen. The largest share of the rollout took place in Ikast-Brande, where 152 charging points were deployed across 46 locations.
EV drivers in the region now have access to charging facilities at commonly used public spaces such as schools, town halls, sports centers, and daycare institutions.
“It’s important that we accelerate the shift to clean mobility. Our aim is to make public charging accessible, affordable, and green,” said Frederikke Fog, Tender Manager at PowerGo.
Charging capacities range from 22 to 300 kilowatts, catering to a variety of vehicle needs and use cases. In addition to physical infrastructure, PowerGo has introduced dynamic pricing linked to real-time electricity costs.
The new charging points form part of a larger effort by PowerGo, which has secured 19 tenders to install over 1,600 public chargers across 16 municipalities and multiple highway locations.
