Puma Energy to install solar panels in 100 Argentinean stations

The company seeks to commercialise photovoltaic systems at its retail outlets under the "Solar Power" initiative.

Puma Energy seeks to develop a sustainable line of business through its “Solar Power” initiative. The project involves the installation of solar panels in a push for renewables energies and energy self-sufficiency, and commercialising these types of solutions for all kinds of retail outlets.

The proposal was unveiled at a visit to the brand 's flagship forecourt in Argentina, located in Nordelta. Under its “Puma Energy Experience” motto, the company presented its recent SUPER 7 convenience store concept, the Puma Pris app alongside its newest solar energies ambition.

"We want to have 100 service stations, industries or businesses with photovoltaic systems in the next year. And being able to offer quality products with the backing of Schneider Electric or Intermepro gives us peace of mind to take those steps", explained Marcelo Vivian, Commercial Manager of Puma Energy, in an interview with the local news site Surtidores.

According to the information cited by the media, the branded service station already operates with this photovoltaic technology, which allows for the supply of 30% of energy consumption. Puma Energy aims to increase the installed capacity by deploying panels in parking lots.
