QuikTrip to close first non-fuel store
Located in Atlanta, the retailer stated that due to safety issues it has come to the decision to protect both its customers and employees.
QuikTrip has decided to close its first non-fuel store, located in Midtown Atlanta after assessing the facility’s safety.
According to a report by CSP, the retailer’s corporate communications manager, Aisha Jefferson, stated that the decision was taken to protect the chain’s customers and employees due to an unsafe environment. The site was opened eight years ago as a pilot concept and it will close on May 3rd.
The company representative stated that this experience will help guide QuikTrip’s expansion across metropolitan areas throughout the United States.
“It’s critically important to us that every location across our 1,000-plus store footprint nationwide delivers the in-store experience that QT customers have come to know, love, and expect,” explained Jefferson.
The news follows another similar development back in August of last year, when Sheetz announced it will also close a non-fuel location due to Indiana, Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1958, QuikTrip currently operates over 900 stores across 17 states.
