RaceTrac forays into two new states
Indiana and South Carolina will welcome their first c-stores of the chain, both of which are expected to open during the next month.
RaceTrac has plans to expand into two new states for the next month with the opening of new locations. The chain’s first Indiana store will open in mid-December in Indianapolis and has also plans to open new sites in South Carolina and Ohio.
Two shops are expected to open in the next month, located in Greenville and St. George, as reported by C-Store Dive. However, there were no details on dates for the brand to foray into Ohio.
When the expansion to the three states is completed, the company will expand its footprint across 11 states in total. With this development, the brand has joined other retailers in their efforts to expand beyond their core businesses in the U.S., like Wawa and Buc-ee’s.
“As we expand our locations in the state of Indiana, we hope to meet the demand for clean and convenient facilities for fleet drivers and commuters alike as they fuel up and get whatever they need to get them going,” said Justen Giambalvo, vice president of construction, engineering and special projects at RaceTrac.
RaceTrac currently operates over 570 stores across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. The company also owns the Raceway c-store brand, which has more than 200 locations in 12 states throughout the Southeast region.
