RaceTrac rolls out smart toilet seats
The retailer partnered with Washie to deploy an alcohol-based solution across its bathrooms, eliminating the need for traditional toilet seat covers.
RaceTrac has upgraded its bathroom technology by introducing smart toilet seats across its locations in seven states: Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
The retailer has partnered with Washie after a successful three-month pilot program at its busiest travel center in Atlanta, according to a recent report by NACS. The companies reported overwhelmingly positive feedback from customer surveys during the pilot, with 95% of respondents stating they felt significantly more comfortable using the restroom with Washie seats.
"The positive feedback we’ve received has been incredible, and this rollout underscores the value our product offers. We look forward to continuing our partnership with RaceTrac to provide their customers with the best possible restroom experience," said Rob Poleki, CEO of Washie.
The company’s smart toilet seats are designed to eliminate the need for traditional toilet seat covers by allowing users to clean the seat with an alcohol-based solution. This solution not only cleans the seat but also leaves it with a refreshing scent, according to the company.
Since the rollout, RaceTrac has received over 600 five-star reviews from customers praising the new technology.
