After opening the first 10 sites last March and announcing an ambitious expansion project for the Mexican retailing sector, Repsol has confirmed that it now has 30 petrol stations in operation serving some 25,000 clients every day.

“The response from Mexicans has been very positive. Around 25,000 clients pass through the 30 gas stations that we currently operate,” said Repsol in a bulletin.

Repsol hopes to attain an 8-10% market share over the next five years. They expect to finish the year with over 200 service stations in Mexico.

Mexico is the sixth market in the world in terms of gasoline and diesel demand. Its growing economy and 120 million inhabitants make it an interesting prospect for oil companies around the world.
