Royal Farms brings scrapple back to breakfast menu
Customers won’t have to wait until special occasions to enjoy the menu which will include it alongside egg and cheese as well as a scrapple waffle bowl.
Royal Farms, a Baltimore-based convenience store chain, has announced it will bring scrapple back to the all-day breakfast menu.
Customers don’t have to wait until the Annual Scrapple Festival in Delaware or National Scrapple Day in November to enjoy the sausage-like flavor. The chain’s scrapple menu will include scrapple egg and cheese on a biscuit, waffle, Texas Toast, croissant, tortilla, or a sub as well as a scrapple waffle bowl.
As a staple of American culture, the brand will bring back this much enjoyed dish, especially for those who grew up in its hometown Pennsylvania or another Mid-Atlantic state such as New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, or Virginia.
“At Royal Farms, we like giving RoFo Fans what they want. Bringing scrapple back to our breakfast menu is a labor of love for the dish that inspired Labor Day. We hope our RoFo Fans are as excited as we are to enjoy it again,” said Morgan Cannon, Director of Food Services at Royal Farms.
Royal Farms currently operates over 272 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in the United States, opening its first store in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1959 under the name White Jug. Today, the company has stores in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia.
